"It is unlawful for any person or entity to engage in the transportation of inedible kitchen grease without being registered with the department and without being in possession of a valid registration certificate issued by the department." (CDFA Code - Section 19310.a). Coastal Byproducts is completely state certified and insured for your protection. We provide a waste manifest for your records each time your used grease and cooking oil is collected. This documentation releases your liability and proves that you are concerned about the proper disposal of your liquid waste. Unlicensed collectors are not legally allowed to transport this waste and are generally under-insured. If improperly transported or illegally dispersed, it then becomes your responsibility. It is in your best interest to work with a certified and fully insured waste recycling company who will also provide this service for free. It just makes good business sense to partner with Coastal Byproducts. |
